Young people gain confidence at Enta Training
A brand new personal and social development (PSD) session for Enta's Entry to Employment learners has been launched this week.
Enta Trainees aged between 16 - 18 who are on the e2e training programme with Enta CIC will be spending a day a week at North East Worcester Equestrian Centre (NWEC) where they will learn more about horses, their care, nutrition and grooming and also be able to have a go at riding!
For some of the young people this is the first time they have seen or been near a horse and through the session their confidence grows enormously as apprehension gradually turns to excitement.
Ten trainees a week over a six week period will be able to take part in this new session. Anita Kibble from Enta CIC says "The feedback received so far from the first week's session has been fantastic. This new activity gives young people the opportunity to try something new, get out and about and gain valuable confidence".
Ruth Holt, Director of NWEC Ltd says "We are keen to open up horse-riding and dispel the popular opinion that it’s an elitist sport for the wealthy".
