Enta is mainly funded by bidding for contracts for projects from a variety of sources. Since the organisation began in 1977 we have had to show flexibility and innovation as funding streams regularly change and evolve.
We are funded by the YPLA (Young People's Learning Agency) in particular for our Foundation Learning programme, targeting young people aged 16-18 years old. Birmingham City Council supports the Lakeside Children’s and Family Learning Centre. We have also received funding from the European Social Fund via the Skills Funding Agency, European Regional Development Fund and the National Lottery. We are also a provider of the Next Step service via the CSWP Partnership.
Our Business Development Manager Judy Tullett is involved with researching funding streams and ensuring Enta can continue to provide courses and services to the people of Birmingham.
Enta runs a number of social enterprises and as a community interest company all profits are used to enhance training provision and services to the Community.
