Green Team

As an organisation Enta believes that sustainable practises are key to the long term future of any organisation.

Environment and Sustainability issues and legislative compliance are complex issues for businesses. Enta has researched in great depth issues affecting the voluntary and community sector and now has a very useful Green Toolkit packed with templates, tips and easy to digest information available for purchase on USB for a nominal fee.

The Green Team is Enta’s internal Environmental group made up of 8 representatives from across the organisation whose aims are to;

  • raise staff and trainee awareness of environmental issues
  • develop environmental modules across Enta’s training provision
  • challenge accepted practises and encourage change

Since the launch of the Green Team in 2008 positive actions achieved include;

  • Toilet hippos fitted on older model toilets to save water
  • Energy usage monitoring to encourage staff to turn off monitors and office lights when away from their work area
  • Wider distribution of paper recycling trays to increase volume of recycling
  • Poster campaign across Enta sites to raise awareness of the three Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle)

Small practical actions make a difference on a day to day level and it is the responsibility of each member of an organisation to make changes for the sake of the environment.
