Refurbished computers available to buy from Birmingham City Council
Enta has in the past received good specification computers that we can sell to the community.
At the moment these are no longer available via Enta but can instead by purchased via Birmingham City Council's 'Community Computers' shop in Shard End Crescent, Shard End. The shop is a partnership between Service Birmingham and Secure IT Disposals.
If you receive one of the following: Jobseekers Allowance, Income Support, Incapacity Benefit, Disability Living Allowance, Child Tax Credit, Working Tax Credit, Housing/Council Tax Benefit or a state pension OR if you a registered Charity then you should be eligible to purchase a low cost computer system.
There are various models available depending on stock, for example;
- Pentium 4 Processor
- 256 MB RAM
- 17 inch CRT monitor
- keyboard and mouse
- Windows XP
- Office 2003 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
Community Computers' opening hours will be between 9.30am and 5pm Monday to Friday and 10am and 2.30pm on a Saturday. Residents must take proof of their name, address and which benefits they are receiving.
