During 2008 Enta CIC has been the lead organisation for the Environment & Sustainability micro-cluster of the REALiSE programme.
REALiSE was a support programme to improve the capacity and capability of social enterprises, to deliver more and better front line services.
This programme contained a number of themed clusters of social enterprises in 5 key areas and was partly financed via the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce and the European Regional Development Fund.
Micro-cluster areas were:
- Environment & Sustainability
- Employment & Training
- Health & Social Care
- Business support
- Education, Culture & Sport
The members of these clusters worked together to improve their local economies, develop inter-trading agreements, develop arrangements to help them bid more effectively for procurement contracts, and support and promote social and economic renewal in the community.
