Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering
1 and a half day course
Accredited by Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH)
This CIEH qualification is for anyone working within the food industry working to comply with current legislation.
Course topics include;
- Introduction to Food
- Legislation
- Food Safety Hazards
- Temperature Control
- Refrigeration / Chilling
- Cooking / Hot holding
- Principles of safe food storage
- Cleaning
- Food premises and equipment
- Food management system
- Identification of hazards and controls

This course is perfect for anyone working in the catering industry who needs to comply with current legislation.

Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace
1 and a half day course (9 hours tuition by an approved CIEH tutor)
Accredited by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH)
This course provides training in the basics of health and safety as well as specific training for individual tasks. The course indicates the standard of health and safety awareness needed by all employers operating within the workplace.
Course content includes;
- The principles of accident prevention
- Health and Safety law
- Fire Safety
- Risk Assessment awareness
- Risks of manual handling and hazardous substances
- Protective Equipment
- Working at Height
- Effects of exposure to noise and vibration
Level 2 Diploma in ICT Support Systems

How much will it cost?
Enta short courses are free to unemployed people who receive means tested benefits (eg Job Seekers Allowance, Income Support, Housing Benefits etc)
For people who are unemployed but not in receipt of a means tested benefit or Employed the price for the Health and Safety in the Workplace and Food Safety in Catering courses varies from £50 – £100 plus VAT per person. The price for the Level 2 Diploma in ICT Systems Support is variable, please call Enta Training Centre on 0121 380 4801 for details.
