Skills for Life

All staff at Enta believe passionately in skills for life and in particular the importance of reading, writing, maths and IT.

Many of our learners have faced barriers to education or training and at Enta they can get functional skills support in a friendly environment in small groups or one to one, to gain the skills and qualifications they need.

As part of many of our training programmes (e2e, enhanced vocational curriculum, City College short courses) trainees have an initial literacy and numeracy assessment. This can be online or paper based.

A learning plan is then drawn up and trainees follow a personalised programme with our qualified Basic Skills Tutor in small working groups or one to one sessions as necessary.

Trainees can work towards a range of accredited certificates in literacy and numeracy starting with entry level assignments and progressing to levels 1 and 2 when they are ready. (City & Guilds or OCR)
