Functional Skills

All staff at Enta believe passionately in functional skills and in particular the importance of reading, writing, maths and IT.

Many of our learners have faced barriers to education or training and at Enta they can receive functional skills support in a friendly environment in small groups or one to one, to gain the skills and qualifications they need.

As part of many of our training programmes trainees have an initial literacy and numeracy assessment. This can be online or paper based.

A learning plan is then drawn up and trainees follow a personalised programme with our qualified Functional Skills Team in small working groups or one to one sessions as necessary.

Trainees can work towards a range of accredited certificates in literacy and numeracy starting with entry level assignments and progressing to levels 1 and 2 when they are ready. (City & Guilds or OCR)
